The bacaba is a palm tree native to the Amazon Rainforest. It produces clusters of fruit very simialr to açaí. After being washed, the branches are cut and left to dry for 15 days. Using various braiding and weaving techniques, decorative pieces are created. Thus, in our studio, we developed this brass piece to complement the small baskets made by artisans living along the banks of the Rio Negro in the Amazon region.
