Founded by Stefanie Ting and her husband, Massame Studio was conceived in New York in 2015 and officially launched in Rio de Janeiro in December 2022, with a focus on contemporary design and social sustainability.
Inspired by Brazil’s rich artisanal heritage, Massame Studio creates unique pieces that blend ancestral craftsmanship with modern design, using responsibly sourced natural materials.
Through collaborations with local artisans and Indigenous communities, the brand preserves traditional techniques, supports sustainable livelihoods, and celebrates the connection between culture, nature, and design.
STEFANIE TING
Brazilian-born, with Chinese heritage, southern Brazilian roots, and a Carioca soul, she graduated from Parsons School of Design in New York in 2004. A pioneer in bringing Brazilian craftsmanship to the international luxury market, she founded Brazil Love Lace, introducing traditional techniques such as Renaissance lace, hand weaving, and leather braiding to renowned brands including Ralph Lauren, Comme des Garçons, Diane von Fürstenberg, and Vera Wang.
Driven by the same passion for craftsmanship, she founded Massame Studio, blending contemporary design, authenticity, and Brazilian heritage. Her creations celebrate ancestral techniques, promote sustainability, and support the empowerment of artisan communities.
